The sculpture was made to order. The girl's father ordered it. Because she did not pursue a career as a ballerina. And he wanted to preserve her youthful grace in sculpture. This composition was chosen because the girl makes this grand jet figure well. I wanted to convey the lightness and grace of a girl in a jump.
